Arrive at Zagreb airport.

Zagreb offers many fine sights, plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars, lots of entertainment and regular events. Zagreb, a city of museums, houses more of them per square foot than any other city in the world.

Day 2

Zagreb

Begin the Zagreb sightseeing tour with local guide. Zagreb is located on two neighbouring hills: Kaptol which is the centre of spiritual cum religious life in north-western Croatia along with Gradec – the commercial centre full of skilful tradesmen and craftsmen. Stroll with your guide, to the Upper Town and visit the Gothic Cathedral and the beautiful St. Catherine’s church. Also visit massive St. Mark’s church famous for its colour-tiled roof. Travel to the medieval Stone Gate and“Dolac”, the open-air market is not to be missed by all visitors.

Zagreb to Split

Transfer you from Zagreb to Split, via Plitvice National Park.

Visit Plitvice national park with local guide. Plitvice National Park is one of the most beautiful and best preserved national parks in the country. The entire lakes and surrounding area features on the UNESCO`s list of World Heritage Sites because of its unmatched beauty. It is a valley situated between high forested mountains in which lie, one below another, a string of sixteen beautiful lakes of crystal blue waters. Fed by small streams and brooks, they spill into each other in 92 foaming cascades and thundering waterfalls. The lakes themselves cover about 2 square kilometres of national park, which in total covers 200 square kilometres. The Plitvice lakes scenery will simply delight you regardless whether you are walking the paths and wooden bridges, taking a boat ride or just taking photographs.

Split

Enjoy Split sightseeing tour with local guide. The Split private tour will take you along the Old City to visit main sights: the old town of Split is built on and around the spectacular Roman Palace erected by the Roman Emperor Diocletian in the 4th century. The walking tour starts with a visit to the cellars of the Palace that are still very well preserved. The cellars offer a good insight at how the life in the Palace was organized. The Cathedral St. Duje is a complex of a church, formed from an Imperial Roman mausoleum, with a bell tower; strictly the bell tower is dedicated to Saint Duje and the church to the Virgin Mary. Together they form the Cathedral of St. Duje.

Split – Dubrovnik

Transfer from Split to Dubrovnik, visiting Ston en route. Ston is a small town on a narrow isthmus connecting the peninsula of Peljesac with the mainland. It is known for their traditional salt production and construction of a huge, fortified complex encompassing the settlements of Mali and Veliki Ston and high quality oysters/mussels. The best oysters in Croatia come from Mali Ston bay, which has been famous for its seashell cultivation since the Roman Empire days.

Dubrovnik

Enjoy Dubrovnik sightseeing & cable car tour with local guide.
